Terms of Use
GayQuiz terms of use — the short, honest version.
Last updated: May 11, 2026
TL;DR
- GayQuiz is free to use. You don’t owe us anything.
- The quizzes are for self-reflection and entertainment. They are not clinical, diagnostic, or a substitute for talking to a real person.
- Don’t try to break the site, scrape it at scale, or copy our content wholesale.
- We’re not liable if a quiz result upsets you. Take care of yourself.
What we provide
GayQuiz offers free, anonymous, browser-based quizzes about sexual orientation and identity. The quizzes are written by queer folks, informed by themes therapists use in identity exploration work, but they are not clinically validated. Treat results as thought-starters, not diagnoses.
If you are in crisis, struggling with identity-related distress, or thinking about hurting yourself, please contact a qualified professional. In the US: Trevor Project (LGBTQ+ youth) at 1-866-488-7386, or 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Your responsibilities
- Use the site for personal exploration, not for diagnostic, employment, legal, or medical purposes.
- Don’t scrape or systematically download the site’s content for republication.
- Don’t try to overload, attack, or otherwise abuse the infrastructure.
- Don’t impersonate us or claim our quizzes are clinically validated when reusing or referencing them.
What we don’t promise
- That a quiz result will match your true identity (no quiz can promise this).
- That the site will be available 100% of the time.
- That our content is medical or legal advice. It is neither.
Liability
GayQuiz is provided “as is.” We are not liable for any distress, decisions, or actions taken based on quiz results. You are the only authority on your identity. Use the site accordingly.
Changes
If we change these terms meaningfully, we’ll update the “Last updated” date.
